About Justin Haskins

Justin Haskins is a Senior Fellow at The Heartland Institute, a national free-market think tank, and a New York Times bestselling author and political commentator. His opinion articles and policy analyses have been widely published and read by millions of Americans. Haskins also serves as the editor-in-chief of StoppingSocialism.com, one of the world’s largest and most influential publications devoted to challenging socialism.

Most important of all, Haskins is a passionate Christian who imperfectly seeks to live out his faith in all of his work.

Haskins writes frequently for FoxNews.com and TheBlaze, and he has previously worked as a contributor for The Hill and Townhall, among other leading publications. He has also appeared on television and radio more than 350 times, including on highly influential shows such as Tucker Carlson Tonight, Fox & Friends, and the Glenn Beck Program.

Haskins is the lone author of the Amazon best-selling book Socialism Is Evil: The Moral Case Against Marx’s Radical Dream (2018), and he was the first contributor to Glenn Beck’s Arguing with Socialists (2020), a New York Times best-selling book. Haskins is also the co-author, with Beck, of The Great Reset: Joe Biden and the Rise of Twenty-First Century Fascism (2022), which appeared on numerous bestselling books lists in 2022, including those of the New York TimesUSA Today, and Wall Street Journal. He also co-authored with Beck Dark Future: Uncovering the Great Reset’s Terrifying Next Phase (2023) and Propaganda Wars: How Global Elites Control What You See, Think, and Feel (2024). Haskins is author or co-author of several Heartland policy papers, all of which have received significant media attention, including “The American Health Care Plan” (2021), “Estimating the Income Tax Hikes Required to Pay for Bernie Sanders’ Medicare-for-All Plan” (2019), and “Debunking the Scandinavian Socialism Myth: An Evaluation of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden” (2019).

Additionally, Haskins has co-authored more than twenty national surveys conducted by Rasmussen Reports, one of America’s leading pollsters. President Donald Trump called Haskins’ December 2023 survey about election fraud “the biggest story of the year” and “the most important poll released in the last 20 years.”

Haskins graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond (Richmond, VA) in 2010. In 2011, Justin earned his M.A. in government with specializations in international relations and American government from Regent University (Virginia Beach, VA). In 2015, he earned a second M.A., this time in journalism, from Regent University. Haskins was inducted into the Philadelphia Society in 2018, and he was named one of Newsmax’s “Top 30 Republicans under 30” in 2017.
